Our School Crest and Motto

As a Christian people, Jesus calls us to live our lives for others. Through the parable of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10:25-37) Jesus teaches us how to love unconditionally and to care for all those in need.  The parable demands that we live our lives in the same way.

Each of the symbols on the School Crest provide a constant reminder to strive to be like the Good Samaritan, responding to Jesus’ directive that we each ‘go and do the same’ (Luke 10:37).  This is the great Christian message.

Our School Crest

The Hand: In our journey, just like the Good Samaritan, we will come across people who need a helping hand. When reach out and unreservedly offer the hand of justice and mercy, our actions will reveal the presence and love of Christ to the world.

The Oil Jar: The Good Samaritan used oil to soothe the wounds of the injured man. Through this act of compassion, in which he generously embraced one in need of healing, the Samaritan restored to the dignity of the other man. In going to do the same, we too can proclaim the Gospel of Jesus.

Our School Motto

Go and Do the Same Yourself!

Responding to Jesus’ instruction (Luke 10:37), our school motto provides a constant reminder to all in the School Community to strive to be like the Good Samaritan and be a life-giving influence of justice, compassion and mercy with each person we encounter.
